For a range gun, the X5 would be the better choice. If you were to get the X5 as a home defense gun, I would look into vetting the adjustable rear sight for durability. Also, one gear thing with an X5 to keep in mind is holster compatibility. I believe my coworkers had to modify their Safariland P320 holsters to accommodate the X5.
